Employee Communications
Change Management Professional

When I began my career, technologies like an enterprise intranet and email, were yet to be in use in Fortune 1,000 companies. One of my first corporate assignments was to lead an effort to develop and build Lowe’s first Intranet, knowledgebase solution and help measure its value to the enterprise.

I have the advantage of spending more than 25 years developing employee communication strategies and solutions. For more than 12 years I was directly responsible for Store Communications. This included all elements of Internal Communications, the development of seasonal sales communication preparation (Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.), identifying communications requirements and delivery methodologies for all employee messaging between the corporate office and Lowe’s store and field support employees (employee communications “gate keeper”).

As the Director of Store Communications, my responsibilities included...

•  developing employee communication strategy
•  spearheading knowledge management solutions and driving adoption for their use
•  employee engagement and story telling
•  department forecasting and budgeting
•  employee development (staff of 31)
•  developing project and department KPIs (“measures of success”)
•  communication governance and ensuring content remains relevant, valuable and “findable” for employees

As a Change Management leader , my additional responsibilities included driving the adoption of both departmental and enterprise-wide initiatives. Some of these initiatives include...

•  Spearheaded the Enterprise 2.0 Integrated Workforce Experience (IWE) initiative - enterprise social business initiative resulting in a $24 million savings in year one
•  Enterprise release of Inquira (Oracle) Knowledge Management solution
•  Responsible for the enterprise adoption of Microsoft Office 365 cloud and mobile computing solution
•  Government Inspections & Compliance Reporting – company initiative designed to reduce penalties and risks associated with government inspections responsible for a $14 million reduction in annual expenses
•  Led the Lowe’s Purpose & Values (employee engagement) campaign designed to build employee commitment to "Helping customers love where they live."

I retired from Lowe's in late 2015 to pursue consulting and speech writing opportunities. However, I am now looking to transition back into full-time employment and am confident my expertise and passion for these field could make me an excellent candidate for your team.

Throughout my career, I have helped organizations navigate complex changes, from mergers and acquisitions to organizational restructuring. I am skilled in developing and executing communication plans designed to move past traditional "awareness campaigns" but instead develop the kind of meaning and understanding needed to drive measurable company performance. I am also adept at creating and delivering training and change management programs to help employees commit to change and thrive in new environments and new ways of working.

I hope you'll select the link below and review examples of some of my past work.

I would love any opportunity to discuss any business challenges your organization is having in the areas of Employee Communications and Change Management, and how my years of experience and skills could add value to your organization.
